Master Graduate in Urban Planning & Policy Design (Politecnico di Milano)
The Master Graduate in Urban Planning and Policy Design is well set up with technical and informational abilities and fundamental disciplinary competences (including economic doctrines) to work in the public administration of different levels, public agencies and private companies in Italy, Europe and other countries as well, research centers, policy making, urban & transport planning, project evaluation.The professional profile of the Urban Planner was recently defined as freelance. In this way a long standing problem with the professional association in Italy was resolved and the Master in Urban Planning and Policy Design is admitted to the Architect, Planners, Landscapers, and Conservators Roll in the Section A, open to the all level of profession of planner: analysis, evaluation, feasibility, strategic and urban and regional policies.
University specific:
Attainment of the 120 Credits (ECTS) specified in the didactic regulations. In particular the minimum standard guaranteed by law for the basic educational activities is 18 (Administrative Law, General Sociology, History of Architecture, Probability and Mathematical Statistics, Design, Topography and Cartography). For the specializing activities the minimum standard guaranteed by law is 39 Credits (Technical Urban Planning, Urban Planning, General and Applied Hygiene, Sociology of theEnvironment, Transportation). For the related or integrative activities the minimum standard guaranteed by law is 12 (Architectural and Urban Design, Contemporary History). 14 Credits for other activities, apprenticeship, and the final exam.About Me | Post-University

Politecnico di Milano, campus of Como: international second-level Specializing Master "The Polis-Maker for management of urban settlement transformation. Choices and actions for the quality of life", in collaboration with Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore Milano, International University of Monaco, LIUC Università Carlo Cattaneo and other foreign universities. The master is multidisciplinary. It prepares program-managers to address the evaluation urban projects, analyzing thoroughly technical, economic, social, legislative and corporate issues.2006/2007
